Poof! Continued

Sorry, ran out of room. Anyway... But it didn't. It did nothing else. After ensuring it wasn't smouldering or leaking, i stowed it safely in a bag and ordered a new one. This will be the 4th charger this laptop has had. I always seem to have bad luck with these. And until the new charger arrives, i'm computerless. Has anyone else heard of something like this happening?

Poof!

Ok. The much anticipated explanation to why i am posting from my phone is this- my laptop's battery is dead, and its charger died in a rather strange manner. When the computer warned me of its low battery, i naturally plugged it in. But when i did, nothing happened. It kept beeping, unaware of the plug. I unplugged and replugged it in on both ends to no avail. I then noticed that the green light on the charger box was off. This was showing all the symptoms of being broken. Little did i know, that charger had more in store for me. I shut down the computer and picked up the charger box; why i can't say. And when i picked it up it poofed. That's the only word to describe it. It got a little bit warm and the light blinked twice, and then with a loud poof this grey smokeish stuff came out of it. It made a cloud roughly the size of a soccer ball that had dissipated in 2 minutes. It had no odor and left no residue behind. I unplugged it fast and threw it down, afraid it would explode or burst into flames. Cont...

I'm sorry i haven't been around. It's a bit ironic how my last post moaned about abandoned blogs when right after that i abandoned my own blog for a while. It's just that i've been really busy. I also apologize for the horrible capitalization in this post, which is due to the fact that i am typing this from my phone. I'll explain why later...

Oh, and you know what else? I checked today- the person who took the domain name randomness.blogspot.com doesn't even post there anymore. It's a closed blog. I think Blogger should clean up blogs that haven't been used in years, like that one. If they did I wouldn't have had to tack that dumb bycc to the end of my name.

5 seconds ago, I had thought of something interesting and witty to post. However, I have forgotten it now. Don't you hate it when that happens?

Okay. Um. I guess I'll have to think of something new to post.

Oh yeah! This was it. Dogster and Catster are featured on Yahoo's 9 today. I'm happy about that because my pets have been on the 2 sites for quite a while now. My Yorkie Bail even has his own blog on Dogster, wich is rather a hindrance to this one- I was technically suposed to be writing one of his entries now, but I'm not. I've been sidetracked- something that happens all to often with me.

Perhaps this is why I get positively nowhere with my writing: I get distracted too easily. I'm a chronically distracted author who's book, at this rate, will be finished in about 20 years.

Oh, and I have a few new links and a new bunnyhero labs pet. I like Violetta, but a purple kitten wasn't exactly random enough for me, so... meet Vilta Quack!

Guess what? Pluto is no longer a planet! It is now a dwarf. Truthfully, I feel bad for teachers now. What will they teach their students now? What about the kids who are just learning the planets? Will the teachers just say, "On second thought, forget about Pluto?"

Why am I singing this? It's been stuck in my head the past 3 days. You see, we have this new station on TV called TheTube. It seems to play totally random videos, but I kind of like it because I like random things. Since it was new, I just had to check it out. I saw the video for this song, Pop Muzik, on there, and it's been stuck in my head ever since! Aaah!

I have a suggestion for MythBusters, too. I saw the new one today, and for the thermal sensor- what about a fireproof suit or something else designed to keep heat out? I say this because wouldn't it also keep heat in? I may have to e-mail them.

Firstly, I have a noteworthy new link.

Secondly, I have a cool art project. Get a small plate (preferably one that's dark-colored), and put a puddle of spray paint in the middle. Get a straw and blow like crazy! This should make a splatterpaint-like effect. Repeat until you like the resulting decorated plate. Then let it dry.

This is really fun to do, and the results make great gifts!

Wouldn't it be great if someone started a chain of hotels just for people who got stuck at airports because their flights were canceled? They could call it
"The Stranded Inn."
They would only be located at airports and they would rebook flights for people. They could put the airport after the name, like:
-The Stranded Inn Atlanta
-The Stranded Inn Boston
-The Stranded Inn LaGuardia
Then, if someone stayed there, it would make for a "who's on next" situation.
"Where are you?"
"At the Stranded Inn Atlanta."
"Well, I know you're stranded in Atlanta, but where are you?"

999 page edits later, THE GREAT TEMPLATE EDIT OF 2006 IS DONE! I have stuff galore on my page now- A WeatherPixie, a clock, a CuteTracker and CuteCaps courtesy of Cute Overload, a virtual cat named Violetta from Bunnyhero Labs, and background music and a cursor thanks to MBIF. Also, f you scroll down, you will find my insane link collection and a ticker. I stuck the ticker at the bottom because I didn't like it. It was supposed to be for New Years 2006 but it doesn't say that because the text that says that is black and the page is black. Oh well. Do you think it's too busy?

Now if only I could find out how to make a title for this thing.

At last, after waiting in a very very long security line, sprinting through half of Atlanta airport, and getting locked in a airplane bathroom during landing, I have made it home.

There must be a way to add titles to these posts. It's bugging me. I don't know why, but it is.

This is where I will post my thoughts, observations, photos, links... everything. I have had a blog before this, but I moved. I wasn't there long anyhow. You should probably check it out though, it has cool links. I haven't yet figured out how to add a list of links to this blog yet, so... here it is!

After this I will re-post my old posts from there here, so nobody misses anything. As for links, I guess I'll get to those eventually. I'm the ultimate procrastinator, so don't be too expectant!
